The Front Pass. side window on my 98 Forester stopped working today. From what I've researched it looks like I'll be needing a new motor and regulator. I'm going to be going to a U-pull it place and get a new one. I do have a few questions. 1, can I use a motor from another model, like an outback or legacy of the same model year? 2, what tools do I need to take it out? Obviously I'll have to remove the door panel and whatnot but you have to bring your own tools, so I need to know. Thanks!

I don't directly know the answer, but do know how to get it. Use car-part.com and search for window regulator (motor). It will show all the car models that are donors. By inputing your zip code, you can find parts near you, call to confirm they have them, and go by to purchase.

good luck
