So I have seen them for as little as £17:00 and £119:00 so what do you suggest, also what you think of the service kits of EBay (air oil fuel filters )

A generic will work fine on a pre 01, o1 onwards have to use the stock Subaru wideband part.

Fitted a generic £23 part to the wifes Celica and that's still fine 3 years on!

Is yours a Turbo? - if not thaen it will probably be ok (blue print is pretty good generally)

My first service kit was off ebay. OEM (blue print) parts apparently!.

i noticed after a few miles the OEM airfliter had totally distorted, probably due to boosting pressure.

i went to Halfords and saw that their own brand air filter has 2 lines of resin across the paper element to prevent the filter from distorting. I now stick with Halfords stuff cos its less expensive with a trade card and a bit better quality.

Alternatively... most people on here have K&N panel filters and such like as an upgrage

Hope that helps
