Since I spent the last few days nerding out over the service manual, I thought I'd share the list of mechanical differences I could find between the regular 2022 Forester and the Wilderness trim. Some of these are covered by reviewers, and some I hadn't seen before.

- Longer struts
- Redesigned springs
- Redesigned front sway bar
- Redesigned front sway bar clamps
- Shorter CV axles (???)
- Shorter final drive
- Larger CVT case
- Wider CVT ratio
- CVT cooler
- CVT-III fluid instead of CVT-II
- Rear diff oil temperature sensor
- New front transmission oil pump
- More powerful radiator fan (from the WRX)
