Hello to everybody:biggrin:

I have a 2010, 2.0, automatic trans, N.A. Forester with 85,000 km.

The problem is that when i drive the car in a uneven street or terrain i hear a noise (tac tac tac tac) that comes from the front right side of the car. well I thought it was a bad shock absorbers but when I made a inspection i found this:

this image is from the bottom of the car

As you can see, the rubber ball is broken in one side, that is the only thing that i found in the inspection, do you think that this part is the source of the sound?? do you know the name of that part (i know the name in Spanish, but not in English)

thanks a lot for you help guys!:icon_biggrin:

That's definitely torn. Its a good chance that it is the cause of your noise. Its a lower control arm mount? I think that's what it is called.

The lower control arm bushes stuffed (although not quite that badly) on my forester too.

The local Subaru specialist suggested using the bush out of a TriBeCa (same size, different compound, designed for the bigger heavier car) as it resists wear and damage like this a lot better (here in AUS it's also $20 cheaper than the forester part)

Still a $500 job to replace them though

Hi I have the same problem.Today I change the bushing of the control arm, but the sound still. I use the the whiteline bushing. Just the question is about the washer that comes with the kit. If some one did the installed the whiteline bushing kit and have pictures Appreciate.
Thanks
