While you might think that on a pounds per square inch of tire patch area, the dually might be formidable, in situations where you don't have a flat surface to get that surface patch contact, you end up with less traction...some or all of either dual pair (inside or outside) may not be in contact at all. Rutted mud is one such scenario, and frozen ruts in snow/ice is another where I've seen duallies at a disadvantage.
In any case, big HUZZAHHS to the Forester for such a good show!

to add insult to injury the guy in the forester shouldve gone through the pit immediately after pulling the truck out.

well technically all duallies are 4 or 6 wheel drive...
