I have a 2010 Forester and it is awesome. However, now that I've started using the airconditioning (in Texas) I'm finding that it runs really cold and then suddenly switches to regular air for about 3-5 seconds and then back to cold. It does this routinely, even when sitting at a red light idling.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong? It has only 3,000 miles and everything else is great.

Do you have it in re-circ? It cant run in recirc indefinitely or the exchangerwill freeze up. Put it iin nono-recirc and not on max and see what happens. I dont use my AC, I have dry eye.

This performance does not appear correct of vent temps are changing significantly.

In warm weather compressor should stay engaged for 10-15 secs, disenage for 5-10 secs then re-engage. Vent air temps will change by a detectable amount, but remain cold.

good luck
