Hi there, I'm about to look at a 2019 Forester Sport at a dealer and was wondering what to look out for before I actually get it. And if I get it, what do I check before driving it off the lot.
I'd appreciate any tips. So far these are the only ones I can think of.
  • VIN on posting matches the car and the one on paper
  • (After) Tire Pressure
  • (After) Check fluids

Check the glovebox for all manuals - there are multiple manuals these days. Check to make sure that you have all the options and accessories listed on the window sticker. Check the trunk for spare tire, jack and associated tools. Inspect both inside and outside of vehicle for damage or cosmetic flaws. I believe there are a couple plugs on the bottom of the rocker rails (behind the front wheels) that are removed for shipping, and should be replaced when the dealer does its PDI. Think there is one on each side. Some new owners will find them in the glove or console box when the dealer failed to re-install.
