Just bought a silver 05’ x. It’s my first Subaru. I was first attracted to Subaru because of their reputation for simplicity and reliability. I was attracted to the Forester because I like to road trip and occasionally go off the beaten path. 2005 is my favorite year because it’s the last year with the skirt. I would’ve gotten an xt if I’d found one I liked but I don’t mind the x at all. If I get bored I might even put a turbo on it myself.

It’s got 135 on the odo. I’m getting the works: tune-up, timing belt, head-gaskets etc. It’s pretty clean and my goal is to restore it back to it’s original glory (with a few personal touches).

I hope to keep it forever.
