Well after some very unwanted stress at I decided to tackle a project that I have been wanting to do for awhile. Which all started when I had my WRX and then sold it to get the Forester.

I started my research looking all over the web and on here to see how hardor easy it is. All signs pointed to The Retrofit Source for parts. I did have my eye on some projectors for cheap for my first build which were Morimoto D2S.

I found a set of headlights at the junkyard that were immaculate for cheap. They were Depo headlights.

Then I started purchasing

Over the course of 6 months I planned, researched purchased, and then tackled the build.

More pictures to come, but here is what roughly $600 in parts look like. I know I said I took about 6 months, this also included waiting for a back order part, time and even more unwanted stress.

Keep in mind this js my first retrofit but I love yo tackle difficult projects. I grew up playing with legos and doing things like this is the same to me.

After purchasing all the parts I started the build. Now I dont have a complete build process since most have been covered in other mods

I started with baking the headlights to paint the housings. I decided to use DuPoint Engine enamel.

I let them cure for a full 24 hours+ before doing anything to them

Time goes by and had to buy a new dremel since my 12 year old dremel decided to take a poo. Afterwards I start test fitting and cutting away at the reflector bowl. And tested fitted the projector and shroud.

I guess I also test fitted these before painting the housing, oh well sorry for being out of order

While I was at this I also mounted and installed some LED Concepts Demon Eyes. Also had my step dad create and 3D print a dust cap

Before putting everything back together. I also aligned the projectors, test fired them, as well as fitted and sanded down the shroud to ensure fitment was as good.

One of the pictures shows the HID vs Osram Nig hht Breaker Halogen comparison
