My 2004 Forester is running out of warranty and I wondered if anyone has experience with Subaru's extended plans.

They want $500 for 3 more years up to 60,000 miles.

Welcome! There were a couple of threads about this topic recently; you'll most likely find them with a search for "extended warranty".

I bought that same extended warranty. Cheap insurance if you ask me. Getting the dealer to actually perform the work under warranty is the hard part.

Actually my extend warr. was for 4 years 60K miles but this only extends the original 1 year and 24k miles. It's not added on to the end of the factory one.

extended Warranty we bought

Bought our extended warranty at time of purchase for 850.00
6 yrs 60000 no deductible we average about 8000 miles a year.

I keep seeing something about if you don't use it you get your money back?
Was this some extra charge for it or is it included with Subaru warranties??
