I'm a first time owner of a Forester and shopping for winter tires (I live in central WI). Does anyone have experience with Dunlop Winter Maxx WM02? I've run Blizzaks on other cars and like them but am looking for something a bit less expensive.

Just starting my second winter with the Dunlops on my Impreza. Has pulled me through 6 to 8inches of deep wet snow. I missed the ground clearance of my forester but also-have a outback. Good on cold dry wet roads. Excellent on cold wet and snow covered roads. I had Blizzaks WS70 on my old forester and find these to be just as good if not better. And after 15,000 miles last year they show little to no wear . Blizzaks wear out quite fast

I would hope they're better than the WM01, those usually finished last in most tests.
Check out the Continental Viking contact 7. They're around the same price. I've had them for 2 weeks, been great so far (no snow yet).
