So my muffler still has life left but the elbow that connects to the flange broke. My plan is to cutoff the flange completely and put a sleave and two clamps for now. Midas wants $180.00 to do same but weld instead of clamps, way to much money, a new muffler is only $100.00 from rock auto. My other option is a new muffler but I like the originals. 2009 Forrester X base model no frills.

I paid a touch more for a custom fabricated axle back at my local muffler shop. If it was me, I'd look for another muffler shop. They should be able to weld that pipe back onto that flange at a reasonable price. :wink:
