Exhaust Issue

Hi everyone, the exhaust system on my forester just recently went bad because it is extremely loud. I know exactly where the hole is, its located right where the resonator exhaust pipe and muffler connect. I was just wondering, does this mean I have to replace the entire resonator pipe and/or muffler? Or is there some sort of connection between the two that just needs to be replaced, if so what is it? Thank you!!
