Low tech approach purely for diagnostic purposes:
Dont laugh.
Would a bit of soft elastic around the throttle pedal shaft, up to somewhere under the dash, aiming to pull the pedal back up to a stop position, just for a trial run, be worth trying???

Thanks Don I have another finding ! in an attempt to stop this erratic idling I wedged my foot under the go pedal and this after a few seconds bought the revs back in line 1100rmp , any ideas tps ?
Maybe a too heavy right boot has stretched the return springs?

Pedal Part number is 36010SA020



Probably worth taking out and looking for damage first before playing with the TPS.
