You need to find out what is wrong first....... It could just be an intake pipe splitting or something exhaust related which sounds dramatic but not a big problem or it could be much more.
First of all, check if there is engine oil and if there is any signs of trouble on the dipstick (Mayonnaise, bits flakes of metal etc) . Check the coolant for any signs of problems there too
Any signs of leaks under the car ?
Does the engine turn over or start? If so, is there any smoke or strange noises? A Video posted of the sound of the engine might help if there are odd noises
Is the check engine light on? That means there are warning codes stored and can be read to give clues to the problem too - A cheap £10 Bluetooth OBD2 reader and Torque App if you have an Android smartphone will read the codes for you.
Everything can be repaired, it is simply working out if it is financially worth it
I forgot to ask, Petrol, Turbo or Diesel?
