Hi Guys

got my tactrix cable today
so hooked up laptop to the car and fired up ECUflash and read the ROM

i had user lever set to developer - is this correct?

because when i came to look at the DTC error codes many were greyed out.
I changed user level to "advanced" and these codes where then not greyed out anymore...?

i also found when set to Advanced in options
then goto "show invalid tables" option
and select "display tables and patches which are incomplete or invalid, but grey them out"
many of the codes become greyed out and when you click the checkbox for a greyed out code you see the message shown in screenshot

if i uncheck the setting, there is not invalid message
as in second screenshot

the default was this option unchecked
is this normal?

i got same behavior off a map i downloaded off web

any tips appreciated?

loaded file in romraider

but some DTC codes for secondary air pump missing on the data i extracted from my car when i open in romraider (as with ecuflash)

e.g.
P2442
P2443

and a few others

the full list of codes i found to delete on web were:

P0410 Secondary Air System Malfunction
P0411 Secondary Air Pump Flow Abnormal
P0413 Secondary Air Combi Valve Relay Circuit 1 (Low)
P0414 Secondary Air Combi Valve Relay Circuit 1 (High)
P0416 Secondary Air Combi Valve Relay Circuit 2 (Low)
P0417 Secondary Air Combi Valve Relay Circuit 2 (High)
P0418 Secondary Air Pump Relay (Low)
P1410 Secondary Air Combi Valve Open Seized
P1418 Secondary Air Pump Relay (High)
P2431 Secondary Air Pressure Sensor Property
P2432 Secondary Air Pressure Sensor (Low)
P2433 Secondary Air Pressure Sensor (High)
P2440 Secondary Air System Open Seized (Bank 1)
P2441 Secondary Air System Closed Seized (Bank 1)
P2442 Secondary Air System Open Seized (Bank 2)
P2443 Secondary Air System Closed Seized (Bank 2)
P2444 Secondary Air Pump On Malfunction

and of these i can only see in these in romraider (and ecuflash)
i.e. 6 less

P0410 Secondary Air System Malfunction
P0413 Secondary Air Combi Valve Relay Circuit 1 (Low)
P0414 Secondary Air Combi Valve Relay Circuit 1 (High)
P0418 Secondary Air Pump Relay (Low)
P1410 Secondary Air Combi Valve Open Seized
P1418 Secondary Air Pump Relay (High)
P2432 Secondary Air Pressure Sensor (Low)
P2433 Secondary Air Pressure Sensor (High)
P2440 Secondary Air System Open Seized (Bank 1)
P2441 Secondary Air System Closed Seized (Bank 1)
P2444 Secondary Air Pump On Malfunction

not sure if this is correct, and concerned to flash the edited file back to ECU when 6 codes not present on the file from my Sg9 ECU

lots of other codes are also greyed out in ecuflash, as not applicable to my car

Just looked up my .hex file and P2442 and P2443 aren't there.

I wouldn't worry just cancel what is on the list and see what happens.

Max

Edited I was reading the wrong list, mine is exactly the same as your bottom one.

You guys are making this harder than it needs to be...if it isn't showing up in romraider/ecuflash (which btw are almost identical in terms of layout and capabilities), then it means it doesn't apply or isn't defined. This means that those areas will not be changed when you flash the new map to the ecu. Basically, if you didn't change the values, they will be exactly the same as they were on the old map whenever you flash it.

thanks for confirmation

I am just being cautious, and checking before i do anymore
- since i saw something unexpected
and didn't want to risk bricking my ECU
