So about a month ago I took it to the (Dynojet)Dyno, plus while I was there, I was going to get a Cobb 3port BC installed. Crappy thing is the new BC was dead. Tuner went ahead and put it on the Dyno anyway, and just made boost on WG Pressure(roughly 11psi) Results were 231/230 It was a warm day (Cannot recall actual temp. though) ..
Mods were 3"TBE, VF52, Cobb SF+Box, via a Cobb AP V3. Riding on 255/45/18 18x9.5s (Reno's Elevation of 4500 ft above sea level)
Sadly had to reschedule a 2nd Dyno run while I contacted Cobb to get a replacement. FF to yesterday afternoon, Temp was 55 degrees Fahrenheit, I had 3/4 of a full tank of 91 oct. from 76 and finally got the new Cobb BC installed. Also had an AVO TMIC as the only other mod installed, besides the previous Dyno run. Tuner decided to keep at a safe level and tune at 17psi. Results were 258/281.. Pretty happy about results.
I know some folks on here got their FXT's dyno at the same place, but apparently they have re-calibrated the dyno the past year and as a result is reading lower.
Overall I'm pretty happy for my DD. Wanted to do a baseline, but this shop is 2 hours away. Going to go through some of the dynos of other FA's. Curious to see if they have similar tq curve as mine. I'm peaking at 3,200rpm.
two days ago i went to the Ecutekker with my SF :smile2:
The mods so far:
Turboback exhaust system
Sportheader with catless Uppipe
The tuner did a softmap with only 1 bar (14.5 PSI) boost. He said it is better for the old Lady :wink2:
The green line is the result before the new map, as you can see, the vf28 have a huge potential...
Just had an engine and turbo rebuild (VF39) and re-tune (Cobb Pro-Tune)
I had Wiseco 99.5 forged pistons added.
- Cobb TBE
- STi TMIC
- K&N Typhoon Intake (added at tune)
- Perrin Turbo Inlet (added after rebuild)
- Walbro fuel pump (added at tune as I was running lean at WOT...also had to replace MAF meter)
- Grimmspeed Air Splitter
I received a little bit of an ugly surprise at my re-tune. I had an Accessport v1 and found out that my tuner no longer supported that so I had to upgrade (originally tuned in 2007). Since we already had the Walbro fuel pump and K&N Intake installed, I had to buy a v3 Accessport.
310 HP @ 5250 RPM
314 ft-lbs @ 4000 RPM
My new tune is different than my original as it hold power (HP) much better than my old tune. (Though I also had added a Perrin turbo inlet and walbro fuel pump). So at 6250 RPM, I still have 291 HP whereas my old tune was down to 245HP @ 6250 RPM.
My 06 with an FP Green HTZ:
Built short block, ARP head studs, stock heads, ID1000's, 255 pump, catless 3" exhaust but stock manifold and up pipe, Perrin front mount, converted to speed density, other typical supporting mods like TGV deletes, killer B oil pick up, etc. (too much to list haha)
Running 20psi on 93 octane. The car made 370whp at 21psi but we backed it down to keep it conservative until I get an e85 tune.
