I have been folding my driver side mirror in due to having a small garage and not wanting it damaged.

Now I have an issue where it has a slight wiggle while driving.

Is there any way to fix this other than replacing the entire assembly?

Mine is having the same issue, presumably because I always fold it in when I pull up to our mailbox to collect the mail every day. So far it only wiggles on pretty bumpy roads, but it is an annoyance. I thought about the possibility of shimming it somehow, but haven't really investigated that option yet.

For what its worth, mine does the same thing. No idea if its because the mirror was folded in too many times; not sure if that has anything to do with it since on mine, it seems like just the glass wiggles over bumps and on turns while the housing seems solid.

Make sure the Phillips head screws on the bottom of the mirror are tight.

Double checked mine and it was the entire housing that was moving, although the mirror has a little wiggle inside the housing but not nearly as much as the housing itself.

YOU ARE A GENIUS. Apparently I was not the first person to do this to my car since the head of the screw was partially stripped; used a ratchet with a phillips bit and only needed about half a turn to cinch it down all the way. I love easy fixes to small problems like this...
