Hi All, more problems occurred within one week after I have gotten this car. The driver's side front door gets stuck half way as i opened the door on two different occasions. This happens as I park the car and turns off the engine, but the door only opens about a few inches then gets stuck by an electrical controlled hinge or something and would not open any wider. Had to start the car again and turns it off to reset it and was able to open the door after. Is this a common problem for the Subaru? Did anyone else experience the same issue as me?

Is this a new car? If so then let the dealer fix it under warranty. If it's a used car then spray some silicone lubricant on the door hinges to ease the pressure.

You might want to go to your profile page and add the year and model of your Subi so we can better help you. :wink2:

Door lock operation is only for 3/4 inch of travel all the rest is mechanical ... ( no electrical controlled hinges)
can be defective "Door Check link"
starting or re-starting car will not have any effect of the door operation ..
