Hi,

1999 GLS

I hit a fence post side on at 30 mph today due to snow! Did surprisingly little damage - door still works but is very dented. Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the door yourself? I am quite experienced DIY mechanically but I know there can be some calls for specialist tools etc.

Any help gratefully received. Don't really want to go to a garage for this - they will charge a bomb - I have already requested all the online quotes for a scrap door.

Thanks,

Theo

It shouldnt be that hard, It's just a matter of lining it up properly. You'll need to get a mate to help you, You may find a whiteboard marker helpfull to line things up. Then you just wipe off the marker afterwards.

Thanks everyone. Got the door now. It was hard to find a maroon one so had to pay a bit over the odds. Just have to fit the bugger now. I expect the window will be fun.
