So, I am going to be doing an oil change in my Forester this weekend, but need to get a new washer for the drain plug. The auto part stores show either a 1/2" oversized or m14, both available in multi packs, but it shows a m20 for the actual drain plug.

Just wondering what I actually need to get to replace the old crush washer that is on the car. I know that some people just reuse the one there, but since I don't know how long this one has been used I would like to just replace it. Next time around I was thinking about getting one of the drain valves, but I have a little time before that.

Its a 20mm bolt OD which means the ID of the washer must be 20mm

Just pick one up at the subaru dealer. Just look at it and if it has no visible gouges on the surface you can use it over if you can't get one this time.
