I do not think so.

If people are looking for a turboed off-roader, they have the option of the Forester. If they want an on-road turbo hatch, they have the WRX hatchback.

It would be pretty awesome with the powertrain from the 2014 XT, but I really do not see that happening.

Maybe since it appears they plan to discontinue the hatchback WRX for the 2015 MY there could be a market for a turbo Crosstrek, but I don't know.

Either way, I would not buy it. I think the Forester is a better package than the Crosstrek.

^ Good points. I'm leaning towards a WRX or CrossTrek next. A turbo CrossTrek would be tempting though. Especially if I could get it with a manaul trans. :)

Sounds like a good candidate for an engine swap. The good ground clearance on the XV would probably accept the low-mount turbo setup of the XT fine.

Probably not. I am ashamed that they have built a hybrid version.

You never know, but don't think so. I also heard that many people with CrossTreks complain they are under-powered. Maybe Subaru will put the 2.5i in the CrossTrek in the future. The thing will fly then.
