Can anyone give me a definate answer if SSR Type C RS wheels in 19 x 8.5, PCD 100, ET 50, will fit my 2004 Forester STi? before i import a set from the US.

I'm not certain, but I would think they should since Gruppe-S listed them under the Forester wheels section.

Click on the 'wheels' and then 'SSR' and you'd see the Type C RS listed for the Forester. If anything, shoot these guys an e-mail, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to answer your question.

At offset 50 I'd start to be worried about whether the tyres would rub, but that obviously depends on the tyre choice too. Is this with AST's or the original FSTI suspension ?

FSTi isn't a choice from Gruppe-S under forester in the US...and yes, it depends on the suspension and whether not it will hit/rub.

Simon - I've got 18X8 ET51's on mine - I guess we'll see tomorrow if they'll fit with the Forester Sti suspension although your welcome to see if one will go on your Sti with the AST's..

Could always fit a small spacer though if needed, I'll be bringing a set of 3mm ones just in case - it'll be the clearance against the rear struts that will be tight unless your planning to slam it down on the AST's

That's why I suggested PSi3 to shoot these guys an e-mail for fitment application.

I have spoken with Gruppe-S (via Silke's recommendation) and they seemed quite knowledgeable and very professional. Very helpful people.

Karma, AST's plus HyperFlow top mount and oil catch can fitted today, more on that tomorrow plus some pics.

I have spoken to Mark at Gruppe-S, not picked mails up yet so will have to see if they replied today. Another wheel choice could be Advan RG II.

Sorry, can't give a definitive answer but I can tell you that with coilovers with helper springs, the lower spring seat is closest to the tire. With 18x7.5 ET+48 and 225/45-18" tire, there's the slightest of clearance left. +43 might be necessary depending on what tire width you go with.

If your coilovers don't use a helper or tender spring than you're probably fine. You can also dial out some negative with the bolts for a bit of clearance. It'll be close.
