Looking for advice on how I might deal with a damaged Jack point. My passenger side rear jack point (pinch weld) was mangled by a large rock. Im sure I’m not the first person that has experienced this so I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction on fixing this? Heat it up and straighten it with a hammer/heavy pliers? Photo attached.

No heat required, just get some big pliers, straighten as far as you can, then place a large hammer against one side and tap back into shape with another hammer.

Good old hammer and dolly will do the trick. Clean it up and apply some undercoat when done too.
