Hi all. My wife has a 2016 Forester with 40k miles on it. I recently replaced the brake light switch under the pedals with a new one from Autozone when the car wouldn't shift without using the bypass switch by the shifter. The problem is now the cruise control has stopped working. It will turn on but it won't set. No blown fuses, and I checked to make sure I hadn't pulled something loose because I had to change it with a cast on my broken right wrist. Any ideas? I came across a single post on an Australian forum that said it could be the aftermarket brake light switch and that one from the dealer would fix the problem but there was no follow up to the post and I can't find anything anywhere else.
