Hi all

I've just taken off the trim around the handbrake lever (I'm giving the car a deep clean and also looking for somewhere to mount a USB socket) and found an electrical connection, I think the cables are brown and white, anyone know what its for?

On US models anyway, the most likely reason for wiring in there would be for the switch that feeds the brake warning light on the dashboard. It helps you understand that you might have accidentally forgotten to release the brake before driving off.

It's a multi-purpose light, also used to advise of low brake fluid.

Thanks, I wondered if it might be a spare power feed? I've replaced the stock radio with something that will connect to my phone, an extra charging point would be nice in the car
