I've noticed the air in my 2010 is quite cool when cranked full cold with no AC. It almost seems like it's too cold to not be AC'ed. Has anyone else experienced this?

If you have it set on the defrost or defrost/floor setting then the A/C is on even though the A/C light's not on. Maybe that's what you're noticing?

The a/c dehydrates the air, which helps a lot in getting rid of the condensation on the windows. So, the compressor turns on when the computer tells it to, not when you tell it to. Kinda sad, because I love the air movement of floor/defrost

Are we talking manual controls or auto climate? With the auto climate setup, whilst demist positions call the A/C to be on, the light *does* come on and you *can* switch it off again. The user controls override the computer.

In this case, I'm referring to manual controls. I have manual controls in my Forester.
