Since the site is back up thought i'd throw up a blurb about my new Cobb pulley. Works like a champ! I love it! More power when at higher RPMs. Makes passing on these back country Maine roads a treat.

Thanks to TAGXT04 and Petty_2005_STI for teh install help. I have the pics which will soon be compiled and put on Scoobymods.

I have 2 questions for you.
1. How long did it take to install?
and
2. does it use the OE belts or does it come with new ones to use.

Thanks in advance.

when i installed mine it took me about 1.5 hrs since i hadn't done it before or much engine work at that time. it's a fairly straight forward process and simple
if i'm not mistaken the cobb pulley is lightened only and not underdriven so it would be compatible with oe belts
IMO a lightened pulley is just as effective as a lightened and underdriven pulley and it doesn't drag on the electrical system and the original belts can be used

1) It took about 30-40 minutes to install, mainly because on the Forester you need to remove the radiator fans in order to have enough room to work. You could probably do it w/ the fans in, but why not make it easier for yourself!? :)

2) The Cobb (and Perrin) are just lightened so the OE belts still work.
