Not sure if anyone else has experience in this, but I have clutch shudder after replacing the flywheel and clutch. It only happens in first and only from a dead stop. But a slow rolling start in first, and it's not there. Also does the same in reverse.

Flywheel was changed (new OEM flywheel with about 3000 miles on it.)
Clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing all new from an Exedy OEM kit.

I've replaced the clutch on this car a couple times before, and I never had this. Sound like it may go away with use, or do I need to spend another 4 hours dropping the tranny again?

I had this happen on my Impreza. It went away after I broke it in. Normal driving wouldn't do it, I got mine to settle down unintentionally when I went up and down on car ramps several times trying to ease up them.

Go out to one of your trails that are a bit demanding of the clutch, I bet that will wear it in nicely.

Sent from my phone, sorry for any typos or brevity

I've also seen worn 5MT mounts cause shuddering. If breaking in the clutch doesn't do it, I'd look there.

FWIW, I'm going through the same thing right now. It was shuddering (aka clutch chatter) bad before replacement. Now it is much less pronounced, but under the same conditions you described. New Exedy kit (PP, clutch disc, TOB, PB) and a Rhino Pac flywheel. I only have about 250 miles on this setup and it's getting better.
