Hi all,
Am after some pointers for my bizarre Forester. It's always used a bit of oil but I parked it for two months while I was busy and now it randomly smokes, but really bad!
It's thick, oily smelling smoke, like a blown turbo, but it will do it one day, then completely fine the next! No oil in water or vice versa, no oil in intake manifold or Tmic and it runs great like normal so am baffled!
Any ideas? Could it be a gummed up breather or a turbo leaking just into the exhaust side and vaporising on the cat? And why some days it others?
Any help much appreciated!

Cheers,

Iain J

After parking my car for a few days or a week, I fire it up and I always get a little white smoke from the hoodscoop and the passenger side front fender (turbo side). Seems to me that it might be burning off a little bit of dripped oil from the oil return line on the turbo.

Just my experience.
