Hi,

Just wondering what size is closest to stock for 18X8 Rota Formula Mesh wheels. I have swift springs and yes... I have used the search option countless times : P

Thanks!

If you're asking what tire on the 18x8 Rota is closest to stock. Go here, plug in your stock tire/wheel & what you want to go to. The data should tell you what you want to know.

i have 245/45/18's and they are a little bit bigger/taller than the 215/60/16's, and from far away they do look a little bigger. and the 245/40's are a tad smaller than stock size too. look at some ppls journals and check their wheel sizes with swifts. maybe 235/45 will be the same size....

yaa just check the tire size calculators. the helped alot. and not having the same size isnt a HUGE difference in speed and/or odometer.

it also depends on the way you want ur wheels to look with car too so study the journals and ride height post.

I run 225/45/18s on both sets of 18x8 wheels. I wanted to run wider but 235/45/18 have only a few options for me and the price was right on the 225/45/18 tires. IIRC, only a few people managed to run 245/45/18s without them having to roll the fenders or have any rubbing issues...might want to double check that.

The FSTi comes stock with 225/45/18 tires.

245/45/18 clear on my 18x8 +51 Superleggeras with Swifts. No spacers needed. The discount tire by my house let me test fit a few sizes they had instock to see what would fit. Maybe you can try that too.

True.

I run 245/40/18 on my 18x8 wheels and the speedo is dead on with my gps unit. They maybe slightly small/large compared to the stock size but the speedo is correct so im happy.

Can you guys above compare your speedo vs a GPS at 60 and 80 mph to confirm your speeds.

Mine was dead on with the 245/45-18. Its slightly off now with the 235/50-17.
245/45/18 is almost identical to 225/55/17, so it should be right on. It is the size I wanted but they were backordered so I went with 225/45.

did you guys confirm this with GPS?

Anyone who wants to know the tire formula here it is
225/55/17 tire 26.74
245/40/18 tire 25.71"

245 / 25.4=_____x.40=____x2=____+18= the tire diameter.

This is the forumla a buddy game me who works at a tire shop.

It works too.

I ran 245/45/18's on 18x8 wheels, and rubbed. I ran 245/40/18 on 18x7.5 wheels and didn't. on coilovers too.

I think with some of the 44 & 42 offsets that are becoming available....squeezing a 245 should become a possibility, w/ out using spacers. I am speaking on behalf of swift users that have issues with strut rubbage..not so much fender clearance, (unless you are running a tall sidewall).
