Newbie here. 2015 Forester Climate Control Fan started acting up. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light if this is just the switch that is bad or something else. The fan blower does turn on except on level #4. On level #1-3, I hear a faint hum but no air comes out of the vents. Only goes on when I put on #4. Has anyone experience this and what is the remedy?

I experienced this same symptom in a 1988 Honda Prelude back in the day. It was caused by a burned out resistor in the fan speed selector circuit. Service department at my local Honda dealer replaced the resistor, $1 part, $90 labor.

I agree with Bruce - had the same thing happen on a different car.
