So, I noticed the other day that when my car is in Park and I hit the brakes, there is a click coming from the area of the gearshift.

This only happens in Park. It happens both with the parking brake on or off. I tried putting it in neutral with the parking brake on and the noise does not occur. It is just a simple click every time I begin to depress the brake pedal.

Any ideas of what this could be? I will bring it up with my dealer next time I am in for a service, unless it gets worse, in which case I will take it in sooner.

I can get a video if needed for clarification... it is loud enough that it would be recorded.

Not worried about it... just found it odd that it started being so loud.

It is loud enough I can hear it over the radio.

Thanks for letting me know what it is!
