My new 2000 miles 2018 Forester started making this chirp (almost sounds like glasses clinking when knocked together) when the car is cold and I first shift from P to R or D. Once the engine and transmission warms up it doesn't make the sound any more. I really don't want to take it in to the dealer as I've been through a Lemon law claim with my 2017 and am tired of going to a dealer just to be told it's fixed but nothing was done.
Do any of you have any idea what could be causing it? Transmission shifts properly, doesn't stall and its overall a nice car.
