100 mile drive but might be worth it.
2010 XT Premium, new. MSRP $27,190. Selling dealer agreed to honor Subaru Guaranteed Trade-in value of $17,675 (MySubaru.com) on my 5-speed manual base model 2009 Forester 2.5X. I only paid $19,578 for it in Oct 2008. Last communication with them the rep indicated they might sell below invoice on the 2010, how much below I don't know. They sent me a scan of the invoice and it shows $25,552, which matches Kelly Blue Book reported invoice price.
On a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 being getting skinned and paying MSRP+ and 10 being so cheap you avoid cops on the way home because you practically stole it... where does everyone thing this deal ranks?
