I was changing a broken clamp on my 2012 sub outback with the non turbo 2.5 while it was running and it suck air and shut off. I finished putting the clamp back on and went to restart it and now it refuses to start. The temp gage flashes blue and red. It turns over no prob but just won’t start. I know it’s an error on my part for not shutting the car off but now I’m in a jam. Any suggestions?

@Limpit84 usually an ECM reset is done like this:

• Unhook the battery cable, usually the ground side.
• Press & hold the brake pedal a few times to drains any residual voltage.
• Reconnect the battery cable.

On the first start after a reset, turn the ignition key to RUN (just before START) & wait 10-15 seconds before starting. This gives the ECM time to reinitialize. If you don't do this, the engine will stall. Not a real big deal, as it will start normally the next time.

It still didn’t start. I have a video of it but it won’t let me post it. I can hear the fuel pump. But both fans are running and I don’t have any heat or air control on. Everything is off

I don't see how replacing a intake hose clamp would cause the engine to die & not restart, unless something... like a engine wiring connector or a sensor, was accidentally disconnected while working on the clamp.

If a engine wiring connector was disconnected & reconnected, while the engine was running, a fuse could have blown or electronics cold have been damaged?
