Can't get interior lights to work

I have a 2008 Subaru Forester. The interior lights don't work. The overhead dome lights and the two maps lights don't work either. I have checked the bulbs they are all fine. I have changed fuse 13 which is supposed to control interior lights and the radio. It seemed fine but I changed it anyways. The lights still don't work. Everything else seems fine. I have never added electronics to the car (cd player, radio etc). What else can I check?

Did you check fuse #2, 15A - labeled "clock room", in the engine compartment fuse box?

I think actually this is a year 2007. looking at Fuse diagrams I have found online. It seems like it matches the 2007 diagrams better. I have checked almost all the fuses in the engine compartment and the inside ones as well. Still no luck. It seems like the inside lights and the clock should be on the same fuse but the clock works and the dome and map lights both don't work.

@Jered Karr the wiring on the '03-'08 is pretty much the same. :wink:

When you say the clock works, is it keeping time & not resetting every time you start the engine? Take a look a the wiring diagram below. Note that the clock has 2 power sources, one constant & one switched.

Fuse #2, 15A - labeled "clock room", in the engine compartment fuse box = FB-8.

FB-8 feeds these loads:

• Audio
• Auto A/C control module
• Combination meter
• Spot map light
• Room light
• Clock
• Key illumination
• Luggage room light
