May I please ask if someone knows (couldn't find any thread on this):

CAN I USE THE FIRST SPEED AS A HILL-DESCENT CONTROL???

(I'm new in this club, I'm looking for user's manual and so far I'm a bit scared to use first gear or speed in my auto-box for a controlled hill-descent, we have very steep slopes: could it harm the gearbox if i do?)

Does anyone know???

Thanks!

Wont cause any issues with the transmission or the engine as long as you don't let the engine rpms get out of hand While going down the hill.

If the decent of the hill using 1st gear forces the engine RPMs past redline you can cause some engine damage.
