Now I'm driving my 'new' Forester I want some better protection for my interior than the standard Subaru Rubber mats i kept from my '03.

I have looked for the weathertech floorliners but the UK distributor doesnt sell them.
Only the 'normal' floormats which i think they give not enough protection to my 'as new' interior.

I just got a new set from Lidl believe it or not... super tough, my last set were still going strong after 4 years. And all for the princely sum of 14€!

Before you drive down to your local Aldi or Lidl store and check if they have any mats on thier website offers of the week.
In UK Canon mats are good value & out last the car here

They look good, but how are those with snow and rain and other liquids?
Those weathertech seem to have more protection against leaking rain and snow in my car interior.
