·99 Forester S, all recalls performed, sudden overwhelming smell of burning fluid (not sweet) overtook the passenger compartment while driving in traffic today (no I didn't have chili for breakfast). I noticed dripping from what looked like the tranny case onto the exhaust manifold in front of the CAT. Since its snowing and everything is caked with slush, I can't tell if/where a leak may be from. The exhaust pipe was burning the dripping fluid, looked like it may be AT fluid, cannot tell. Fluid levels checked OK although the oil is always needing to be topped off. It's at the local mechanic, no suby specialist or anything. Just wondering if this sound familiar to anyone so I can understand what they find.
