Winter is returning with a vengeance this weekend!


Friday: Numerous showers with possible snow showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce small hail. Snow level 500 to 1000 feet. Highs in the 30s to upper 50s. Southwest winds 10 to 20 mphFriday night.

Friday night: Snow showers likely and isolated thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce small hail. Snow level 500 to 1000 feet. Lows in the 30s to lower 40s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers...snow showers and isolated thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce small hail. Snow level 500 to 1000 feet. Highs in the 40s to mid 50s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers. Lows in the 30s to lower 40s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Partly cloudy. Chance of showers. Highs in the 40s to upper 50s.



Snow level 500-1000 ft! When was the last time this happened around here? Global warming really is a *****! :wink:

Mmm..nice
We've been getting a nice amount of snow here in Portland where its pretty rare for snow...It snows a few times a year. Got a few inches yesterday and its still snowing

Warning Issue Date: 905 AM PST FRI MAR 10 2006
Warning Expiration: 515 PM PST FRI MAR 10 2006
...SNOW ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN FRANCISCO HAS ISSUED A SNOW
ADVISORY FOR ELEVATIONS 1000 FEET OR HIGHER...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 4 AM PST SATURDAY.

SNOW LEVELS WILL REMAIN NEAR 1000 FEET AND LOCALLY TO SEA LEVEL
IN HEAVIER SHOWERS.

IN ADDITION...SNOWFALL MAY BRING DOWN TREE BRANCHES AND POWER
LINES CAUSING POWER OUTAGES. LOCALLY STRONG WINDS WILL CAUSE
AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WITH REDUCED VISIBILITY.

A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY
TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND
LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

Saw it one tv while I was at the bank.. looks interesting seeing you guys freaked out about 1 mm of snow

Then again, you guys probally don't have any snow plows/ salt trucks


Its about 62 right now, sunny skies and I saw a fly!

Sunny, sunny, sunny today. A bit chilly (48) for us. Actually had to get the longsleeves out today. (Hey that Subaruforester.com sweatshirt looks sweet!)

Wait till you guys see the pics from today's scouting trip for the May meet & drive! :devilgrin

Oh, and Senor Subie... we're not so much freaked out by the prospect of snow (we do drive Subarus, remember? ;) ) - it's just rather unusual to see it in our own backyard than to have to drive 3 hours to find it!

Well, I take that back... apparently some people were having trouble adjusting to the conditions, causing a 28 car pile-up on Hwy 101... :eek:mgwtfbbq And there's even a Subie in the wreckage.

^^^ Ouch.. Your pics from the drive you guys took today looked pretty awesome

I guess I opened my mouth too soon, so much for out 60 degree temps, now we're expected to get about 9 inches of snow tommarow and tommarow night

Guess I' was getting a little doughnut hungry anyways

The Mrs. was saying,"We should go see the snow." And I was like,"Hell no. Drivers here in California can't even drive in the rain. What makes you think they can drive in the snow?"

(plus I didn't want to swap my tires out for the M+S ones...too cold)
