Hey all,

Just traded my '05 Outback 2.5xt for an '02 forester S. I want to try and make this one capable for easy to mild offroad/backroad driving as it will still be my daily driver. My first set of things I would like to do is skid plate, bull bar, and eventually a lift.

I figure I will probably purchase the skid plate from primitive, unless others have some better opinions.

For the bull bar, between me and my brother and his shop, we have the capabilities to fab one our self. my question is, does anyone have any idea on attachment locations for the bull bar, and still being able to incorporate the skid plate? I literally bought it 3 days ago, and have not gotten a good look under the stock splash guard. can any one direct me to where some good mounting positions would be so I can at least start drawing something up. Thanks! If anyone else has fabed there own, I would love to get advise and see pictures!

I have a 1998 forester and I've also been looking for a push bar/grille guard. I found one made by a company called Ranch Hand, but it looks like it wouldn't hold up if I were to hit a deer, which is my main concern living in the backwoods of PA. I have found plenty for 09 and up, but nothing else. Anyone have any suggestions where to find these parts?
