I had some old scrap wood. Was going to run it up to our Jeeping/Camping spot (private land, we have permission to use) in the Jeep. But my Cherokee has 1 working window, no AC, no carpet and it was above 90 out with a lot of humidity. So the Forester got used for it.

These trails aren't anything crazy, but not something my old Focus could get to. I was a little concerned I was going to have problems getting out of the fire area. I backed off the side of a root and the Subaru didn't want to climb it and I'm not one for riding the clutch. Low range would have been nice!

This is a bit steeper than it looks.

Two questions:

-- So what happened? I mean, did you get the Foz stuck? Hard to believe looking at the pics.

-- Those rims? They look for all the world like my 2005 steel rims. 16". What are they? Just bad pics or are those some older rims and if so, which ones.....

We made it out. I just had to back down to the water a bit further and give it a little more gas. And got some air with the trailer. The hill itself was steep but not enough I should have problems but there was a root ledge that was about 6'' tall that I kept getting stuck on. The wheels are the factory 17'' steelies from base 14-18 Foresters. I would like to find the 5 spoke 16'' wheels from an older model to use with a nice set of all terrains for year round. But they're all so rusty in the junkyards.
