Brand new...to our family anyhow...

2003 5 Speed XS w/ 56,000 miles, bought it on 03/04/06.

This is crazy...only had her for 2 days and she's already nicknamed herself "BLUBARU". Got home today and she ran right out with the camera and started taking pictures of herself (smart girl even figured out the self timer). I expect she'll register here and start complaining about me before too long:

It's a trade off for sure...40 mile (50 minute) one way commute to work, but my nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile from me - I can dig it!

First tank up today...29.3MPG. I'm pretty happy with that.

Beautiful country. None of that crowded, rat-race feel of a city. I envy you.

Where in NoVa are you? I cut my teeth learning to drive in that huge DC Metroplex. I graduated from Lake Braddock HS in 1984.

I love the wide open spaces and clean air out here in Colotucky!

That's awesome! The original Blubaru - eh?
I don't think we can claim to be the first, somewhere around Cary, NC there is a blue Legacy with personalized 'Blubaru' tags. Kevin is the one that suggested the Blubaru nickname a couple of years ago, so he is Blubaru's god-father.:Banane36:

All you have to do is get yourself another Forester, de-badge the rear end, modify the 'U', remove the 'S' on your Blubaru, and fix on a left over 'B' and the modified 'U', from your newly de-badged car.
