1999 Forester S Turbo 5MT
I am about to buy a Harvey Smith EBC. There are two versions, one of which can go past the factory boost setting via a tap into the ECU and using the standard 2 port solenoid. If I were to raise the boost above the OEM 0.8BAR with in reason say, 1.0BAR, what are the chances of wrecking the pistons? This is the less expensive of the 2 units because the other one has a 3 port solenoid included and is a stand alone whereas the less expensive one has to be integrated into the ECU loom. Anyone have an opinion please?
