Hey,

I've had my10 forester for nearly a month now and want to take it on the beach next weekend, having never driven a forester on the beach before, are there any tips you guys can share?? i was thinking a having the tyres on 15 psi approx?.

Do they behave vastly different to a normal 4wd on the beach sand, thanks?

I spent the Easter long weekend on Bribie Island, and spend a few days on the beach, and took a trip accross to Poverty Creek which is a good few kilometers of sand road to get to. I have Duelers on my Forester (similar in pattern to the Yoko's you've probably got), and didn't bother to put the pressures down. Figured if we got stuck then we'd put them down and try again.

A few beach entries and exits, plenty of soft sand driving and no problems for us.

Just get it and do it......you'll have fun learning what it can do.

Go to the offroad fozzies section of the forum and look for it in there - not hard to find; actually I might make it a sticky so it's easy to find because the question is asked often

i got stuck on pismo in the deep dry stuff but got out after dropping the tire pressure. tried to stay on the wet stuff ,but other than that it was fun as hell.
