Superleggeras!!!

One pound is a huge difference when you are talking about unsprung weight. Just google in "unsprung weight" and you'll get plenty of reasons why. And the OZs looks much better IMO.

One pound in the wheels matters some, but I'm thinking that 5-6 lbs. extra in the tire's weight will have even bigger negative impact on unsprung weight & rotational resistance (plus the added weight is further from center compounding the effect)...e.g. the Avon's look attractive, but I can't get by their weight of 29 lbs. (225/50-17). I hope to end up with something ~23-24 lbs. at most...looking for max acceleration.

I have seen the BBS (the 17" that come on the 9-2x) for sale at nasioc and I am sure there are Saab sites/forums where they are selling them like crazy from upgrading. Might want to look into get a used set for cheap.

I wonder if Saab has more than one 9-2X Aero wheel style. These are the ones that I have sitting in boxes, waiting for tires...

Good point FXT22. Forgot to consider the weight of the tires.
...and I just happened to see on the Member's Forum that you have some of the lightest 225/50-17s around @ ~22.5lbs.!

I will probably be getting the same Falken tires
