What is an "auto-shut down" feature?
You need to better educate yourself on the subject my friend:wink2:Start/Stop will beat the starter up more
Have never noticed the Forester to "lurch" when SS engages. My Audi has it too and it does not "lurch" either.Exactly what my wifes C300 does. The restart and s so intrusive the car lurches forward.
Hate it. We prefer to drive my 17’ Forester.
The 19 does come with a feature called AVH (automatic vehicle hold). See the Ascent video but the same exact feature as in the Forester.Does anyone know if the Subaru stop/start has a vehicle hold feature...
i.e. when you take you foot off the brake, the engine starts but the car does not lurch forward. Experienced this style test driving a Santa Fe...
Auto S/S is on every 2019 trim level and can be turned off with a switch on the dash.Question for the new owners. Is the auto start/stop feature defeatable through the onscreen menus, or are you stuck with it?
Wrong.....I believe it is available only as a add-on feature, ie, it is not included at any trim level.
That is correct and takes...well...a whole 2 seconds to do it:wink2:But you have to turn it off every time you start the car. There is no way to permanently disable Auto Stop/Start.
The 2022 is really no different than the 2021 except for aesthetics and eye sight. If you have RAB, it is a 3 minute install.
3 minutes in and 3 minute out...for a vehicle with RAB...it truly is that easy!!!I assume uninstalling it is easy to?
