Hahaha! I know the feeling. I would put them in and tear the old ones apart. Paint the insides and maybe change bulbs to led. Than if for some reason the painted one's don't work or get moisture inside you have a backup.

I just put some a flyeye kit on my rears before the meet,you can see how dark the tint is in the pics of the back of the FSTI's. Looks ok to put on in instruction video but mission impossible to put on in one piece in reality or i'm too impatient! Pleased with finished look though and cheap and easy to take off if you don't like it.
