This is a 4th and 5th gear pull and it temps were in the 20s. The car threw a code in 5th. I'm wondering if this is actual boost creep or a tuning problem.

Sorry the columns don't line up.. =(

Code:

So the spike is causing the CEL? It happens after I hold down the throttle in 5th for a short while.

That I can't say. But the boost quickly peaks after a shift and settles back. Looks like a spike not creep. Creep is uncontrollable airflow through the turbine because the wastegate can't keep up. That tends to rise and continue on.

What is your target boost when you were tuned? In normal temps?

The target boost was supposed to be 18.5 psi and tuning was done at 85 degrees but my car will throw the code when below 50 degrees F.

Does your logging software cap displayed boost at 18.427? Do you have a boost gauge to confirm?

The tuner may need to work on your wastegate DC.

Yes, the software can only read manifold pressure up to 18.4. I keep forgetting to hit the record button on my defi gauges to record the pulls but it does peak over 20psi. I logged absolute maifold pressure and atmospheric pressure so if you take the absolute manifold and subtract the atmospheric it should be the relative manifold pressure (boost reading).

I've already forwarded my logs to my tuner and he's taking a look at it.

Mine was doing the same thing. My tuner ended up turning down the WG duty cycles % from in the 50's (as yours are) to like 25% where I was geting cut. So the WG Duty %'s went from being flat to looking like a Horshoe. He also adjusted the IAT temp compensation/offset table. This way I'm still hitting target boost (and not spiking) no matter what the temps are. My target boost was 19psi yet, I was hitting 21.3 psi 4th and 5th. It seems to have done the trick as we've had quite a bit of a temp swing since Saturday. I was able to hit target boost in mid 70's temps on Saturday and only slightly spiked to 20psi at 41deg earlier tonight. Hope you get it settled soon. I know how bad it blows to hit BC in 5th. ;)

I got a new map in and did a few hard pulls last night. It was only 41 and not 20 something like when I did the first log but no CEL. I still saw 21 psi on my peak hold though. Just watching the boost gauge I could see it was less wild though. I'm going to put a few more miles on to let the ecu learn and then I'm going to do more logging in cooler weather. I'll have to ask my tuner what he did exactly. Something about dynamic temp compensation..
